The Office of Curricular Affairs and Media Resources is devoted to ensuring that the preclinical and clinical curricula meet the ever changing needs of students as well as the standards set by the accrediting board for medical schools, including:

  • oversight of master course schedules and course evaluations
  • classroom allocation/scheduling
  • patient encounter and technical standards attainment tracking
  • academic counseling
  • accommodations for students with special needs
  • faculty support, electronic classroom equipment and instructional material development
  • coordination of the Standardized Patient Program, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, and Capstone

The very popular Senior Mentor Program, in which students are paired with community-dwelling elders for completion of a variety of assignments such as taking medical histories and monitoring blood pressures, is another responsibility of the Office.
